The Masonic Tavern
Thunderbolt Street

Thunderbolt Street was one of the shortest streets in Bristol, yet the Masonic Tavern was at No.72 !  this was because the door numbers continued on from Broad Quay. This area was cleared around 1900 to make way for the C.W.S. building.  At the left of the picture can be seen the Merchants’ Arms in Prince Street.
